Remnant Review Online Journalism Class

ripple 2Want to make an impact on the community and the culture during an historic time in history? Did you know that newspapers are considered primary source documents? In other words, they report history in the making, according to eyewitness testimony. Years from now, people will want to know what it was like to live in these unprecedented times. You can write history in real time by joining our journalism class, learning to write a variety of types of articles, and publishing them on our online newspaper! Journalism classes will be delivered online, and will be open to high school students through adults. Classes will take place each Monday 7-8:15 p.m. Eastern Time on an online delivery platform, starting February 8. There will be an initial “crash course” in journalism basics and we will continue to cover journalism topics indefinitely as we also produce an online newsletter.

I am an experienced journalist, teacher, and journalism teacher who has started three different school newspapers. I also am a certified educator.

Students from all backgrounds are welcome, as long as you understand that classes will be taught according to a Constitutional, Biblical worldview, and submissions will be considered from that standpoint.

Cost of the class is $10/week per student, but if you can’t pay that much, pay what you can. And if you simply can’t afford to pay, please don’t let that keep you away. I know that a lot of people will be negatively affected by economic hardships in the weeks and months to come, and therefore I am willing to offer this class for free or reduced tuition if you truly can’t pay full price. This is based on the honor system. Just keep in mind that I also am self-employed. We all need to help each other out.
